GROWTH 4 U      

Group based employability skills, work exposure, life management skills for youth with serious mental illness. This program is offered through McBride Career Group Inc. and is funded by Service Canada.

Growth 4 U is specifically designed for persons with a serious
mental illness who want to choose a career, work, or return to school. Participants in the program need to be between the ages
of 15-30, have a diagnosed mental illness, and who are not eligible to receive EI benefits. To be accepted into the program, participants need to attend an orientation in order for them to make an informed decision as to whether or not the program is for them. Several interviews are held and a selection made; 12 individuals are chosen based on their desire and readiness.

GEWELS - Youth Skills Link     Edmonton
Group based employability skills, work exposure, life management skills.
This 19 week program is offered through McBride Career Group Inc.
and is funded by Service Canada. The goal of the program is to offer youth the ability to learn, identify and develop a variety of skills and strengths that increases their employment potential. Our aim is that by the end of the program youth will be employed in a full time position that will be a stepping stone to their chosen career path.

WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM (WE)     Calgary
The Work Experience program offered through McBride Career Group Inc. is designed to help out of school an unemployed / underemployed youth between the ages of 15-30 achieve an entry-level position in their desired career. We do this by sharing with the employer the cost of a new employee’s first 8 weeks of employment. The Work Experience Program will reimburse qualified employers up to 50% of the new employee’s first 8 weeks of employment. As a participant in this program you will be given the opportunity to speak with a JOB Coach privately in order to discuss your unique circumstances and provide you with the information that will assist in achieving your career goals.
