    Bridges to Success is a program designed to provide individualized, pre-employment services for all Albertans, who require a variety of services to assist them in establishing and maintaining employment or accessing further education/training.

  • Transition to Employment Services

    A component of the Bridges to Success program, Transition to Employment Services is for those individuals who have a good employment history, but have been unsuccessful finding employment on their own. This service helps clients revise their resumes, and improve their job search skills with the goal of finding full-time employment as soon as possible. Transition of Employment Services participants will work one-on-one with a job coach to determine their job search needs.

    Regular intake session occur weekly on Wednesday between 1:30 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. Staff meet with people, one-on-one, on a first come, first serve basis. You will be able to discuss the program and see if it is right for you, and make plan.

    Transition to Employment Services has continual intake. Once selected for the program, participants start right away.

    McBride Career Group Inc. offers a program which provides participants with opportunity to improve self-esteem, confidence, hard and soft skills necessary to improve the education/employment potential of youth aged 17-30 years of age. This group based program will provide integrated, coordinated services for youth which incorporate basic living skills, career information and counseling, computer literacy and technical business skills, as well as employability skills to increase work linkages. All activities evolve according to an Individualized Action Plan (IAP).

    The Rebrand Program is offered in Edmonton, Calgary, Strathmore, Okotoks, Red Deer and Ponoka.

  • Dispatcher Training Program

    This program is designed to introduce you to the career of dispatching. It will provide you with basic skills that will enable you to work in various industries or continue your training towards supervision. The curriculum includes instruction on the current dispatching software, GPS, and hands-on skills training.

  • CNC/Manual – Introduction to Machining Operations

    The CNC/Manual – Introduction to Machining Operations Program has been created to provide Albertans who are receiving Income Support or Employment Insurance with specific technical training in Machining. This 17 week full-time training program, 11 weeks of which are done at NAIT, is designed to facilitate entry into the Machining trades, and open up apprenticeship opportunities.

    This program is for unemployed or underemployed Albertans who are experiencing barriers to employment. One-on-one career and job counseling, workshops, or assistance with job placement are offered. The outcome is to achieve full or part time employment.

    Growth 4 U aims to assist underemployed or unemployed adults with disabilities, specifically self-identified mental health barriers (mild to medium), in the Edmonton area to overcome barriers to employment and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to make a successful transition into the labour market or return to school.

  • Residential & Commercial Installers & Servicers

    This Integrated Skills Training program is designed to aid unemployed Albertans in securing employment as a Residential and Commercial Installers and Servicers (RCIS). Training includes topics related to employability, safety, and the technical aspects of installation, (including millwork and cabinet installation, and kitchen and bath renovations such as counters, closets and storage).

    The program is delivered by McBride Career Group in partnership with SAIT and provides 21 weeks of training including a three week work experience. An additional 6 months follow up period of coaching and job support is also provided.

    Courses start about every 6 months. Orientation session for interested applicants occur weekly by appointment beginning about 10 weeks prior to each course start. Clients are assessed for eligibility prior to acceptance.

  • Early Learning and Child Care Program

    This training program is 18 weeks long and allows the participants to receive their Child Development Assistant certification and 380 hours towards Child Development Worker certification. 5 week practicum, child first aid and criminal record checks are also included in this program.   • Pre-Trades Training

    Our pre-trades training program starts the first Monday of every month. Each month we focus on a different skill. This is an entry level, pre-apprenticeship program that will give you a general overview of the different trades. Included with this are 2 weeks of in class training, 2 weeks hands on training and a 2 week work experience.

  • Business Skills Services Program

    The business skills program runs for 4–16 weeks depending on your level of computer experience. This program is entry level and teaches you the basic skills needed in order to be able to work in an office environment. Covered are life skills, essential skills, as well as Microsoft Office 2010 programs. The program is individually tailored to meet each client’s needs. 2 week work experience and job placement assistance is also offered.

  • Experience Counts: Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW)

    This program was designed specifically to meet the needs of the more experienced, mature workers aged 55 to 64 (exception may be made for 50 - 54 and 65 years plus). Learning is done in a group environment and is led by informed profession. Content and delivery of the six week workshop portion of the program is current, relevant and respectful of the wealth of information and experience that participants bring with them.   • Growth 4 U

    Growth 4 U is a supported employment program for persons with mental illness. Clients develop a Return to Work Action Plan and attend various employment related workshops. They are then placed in an 8 week paid Work Experience placement and assisted to find employment if they are not hired on by their placement company. The program is no cost to participants and intake is continuous.
