Serving your needs in the Foothills area, this Centre offers a wide range of resources and services to assist any Albertan seeking career and employment supports.
We provide assistance with resume development and cover letters, interview preparation, career and employment counseling, as well as information on educational and funding options. We also offer employment workshops and computer training sessions. Our Centre offers a career resource library, job postings by employers from local and surrounding areas, and access to computers, printer, scanner, fax, photocopier, and telephone. We also provide current information regarding other community services and upcoming events.
MCG offers services for employers as well. Employers are able to host mini "Job Fairs" in our Centres, participate in our Annual Career & Employment Expo, and post their available positions to our website which are advertised in the in-house job binders. We also offer an "Employer Spotlight" which allows Employers to provide information on their business and provide resource materials to job seekers.
With an award winning service and an environment where job seekers are heard and offered support, this Centre continues to live up to its reputation.more information
Experience Counts: Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW)
This program was designed specifically to meet the needs of the more experienced, mature workers aged 55 to 64 (exception may be made for 50 - 54 and 65 years plus). Learning is done in a group environment and is led by informed profession. Content and delivery of the six week workshop portion of the program is current, relevant and respectful of the wealth of information and experience that participants bring with them. If you think that this is the kind of support that would be helpful in assisting you in finding your next employment opportunity, or deciding upon what type of further training would benefit you most, then please call our High River or Okotoks office for further information.more information
