Youth Links/National Work Experience (WE)
Youth Links/National Work Experience (WE) is designed for youth aged 15-30 to overcome barriers in finding employment. Participants will complete 12 weeks of paid work experience to develop their job based skills while receiving one-on-one job coaching throughout the program. Employers receive a wage subsidy for the term of the program based employment and participants receive the necessary job skills to be successful going forward in their working life. Participants receive a $500 bonus upon successful completion of Youth Links.
New groups start every 4 weeks. There is a one week assessment prior to acceptance into Program.
Okotoks Career & Employment Centre
Serving your needs in the Foothills area, this Centre offers a wide range of resources and services to assist any Albertan seeking career and employment supports.
We provide assistance with resume development and cover letters, interview preparation, career and employment counseling, as well as information on educational and funding options. We also offer employment workshops and computer training sessions. Our Centre offers a career resource library, job postings by employers from local and surrounding areas, and access to computers, printer, scanner, fax, photocopier, and telephone. We also provide current information regarding other community services and upcoming events.
MCG offers services for employers as well. Employers are able to host mini "Job Fairs" in our Centres, participate in our Annual Career & Employment Expo, and post their available positions to our website which are advertised in the in-house job binders. We also offer an "Employer Spotlight" which allows Employers to provide information on their business and provide resource materials to job seekers.

Rebrand: Career & Employment Initiative for Youth
McBride Career Group Inc. offers a program which provides participants with opportunity to improve self-esteem, confidence, hard and soft skills necessary to improve the education/employment potential of youth aged 17-30 years of age. This group based program will provide integrated, coordinated services for youth which incorporate basic living skills, career information and counseling, computer literacy and technical business skills, as well as employability skills to increase work linkages. All activities evolve according to an Individualized Action Plan (IAP).
The Rebrand Program is offered in Edmonton, Calgary, Strathmore, Okotoks, Red Deer and Ponoka.more information
